Welcome to REM DEV!

Ready or not, here it is...  I've been scrambling to get this site up over the last few weeks for a few reasons. 

First, I've been working with some emerging technologies such as Flex, AIR, and Android, and I've noticed that it's not always easy to find code samples on line like it is for Java, .net, or some of the other 'old hats' of the internet.  So I'm hoping that this site will grow into something useful for people who are looking for answers on the cutting edge of technology.  I'm also hoping that I'll learn a lot by posting articles and interacting with people via the comments.

Second, I created remwebdevelopment.com to showcase my work samples when I was in between jobs, and after I  got hired  I neglected the site until  recruiters started contacting me.  I was surprised that they could find me and I assumed that if people were actually finding my site, I better make an effort to make it worth the visit.

Finally, I've been working on a personal project and I needed to manifiest it in some way.  For over a year I have been developing a CMS system in PHP (focusing on the flexibility to be customized to the specific needs of an individual website, while also making sure that the content can be easily indexed by the search engines).  So all the content on this site is managed by my little garage project that I am starting to call REM CMS.

The content is sparse now, but I'm adding to it on a daily basis.  Please drop me a line via a comment, or through the contact page.  I'd be glad to hear any suggestions you might have regarding the site in general or a specific article.
