Here are some of the more interesting projects that I've completed within the last year...
Flash Map
The client wanted to make it easy for web visitors to find geographical locations that were spread out accross the United States. There was a lot of visual and textual data that had to be available to the user (over 700 points - each with it's own set of information).
The information for each point was aggregated into a database, and then exported into an XML file for the Flash application to use.
Technologies Employed:
Microsites
I created a series of 9 microsites, each introducing a line of products for the client. Microsites are a great way to promote individual product lines and can be built quickly because they
often consist of just a few pages. When visitors request a product sample, a confirmation email is sent to them, which they must reply to in order to qaulify the lead. Each morning an automated email sends an Excel spread sheet to the client so that they can process the previous day's requests.
Technologies Employed:
Website Management/Maintenance
I was given the responsibility of maintaining the Ovation Marketing website. My responsibilities included coordinating content updates, adding additional functionality when requested, ensuring that the content was optimized for the search engines, maintaining branding standards.
Technologies Employed:
Customized Conversion Tracking
The client wanted to ascertain the ROI of it's ad campaign via Google conversion tracking, but we quickly realized that the data we were getting from it was inadequate.
So I built a customized mechanism for tracking conversions which not only gave us more data, but allowed us to track conversions from our email blasts as well as our AdWord campaigns.
Technologies Employed:
Blog Comment Administration
The client wanted to allow visitors to post comments and ratings on it's blog site. I created an application that alerts the client a comment is submitted. The comment must then be approved before it is posted to the live blog site.
Technologies Employed:
Flash Fireworks Show
The assignment was to celebrate the 4th of July by creating an interactive experience for the client's list of email recipients. This was a fun and challenging project that presented a lot technical hurdles along the way.
